In 1437 BCE, Thutmose III of Egypt set onto one of his many military campaigns. Upon putting down a revolt in present day Syria, the Pharaoh met with envoys of the Danaan king. This meeting represents the earliest written evidence of the Mycenaean Greece by a foreign source.
